Didn't we go through jobs "everbody else gets" last year? Don't we do it every year?

jp shimmied on her belly to the top of the knoll. There, sitting by a dead fire, nothing but a pile of gray ashes, was Rambi. She looked bored. jp topped the knoll and rolled over and over on her side till she plumped to a stop by the fire pit. Rambi didn't bat a long lash or pull a deadly weapon. She just sat there staring at the pitiful ashes.

"Geez, woman, what's wrong?"

Rambi yawned, stretching her tone, muscled arms to the sky.

"It's She Who Talks Too Much. She suddenly can't seem to tear herself away losing money on the stock market to record my adventures."

"You miss her?" jp asked, trying to stifle a grin, thinking that could be dangerous, even if she wasn't afraid of Rambi.

"Don't be stupid. It's simply that slaying evil and righting wrongs and pursuing Dry Gulch is not the same if..." She stopped in mid-sentence, narrowed her crystal eyes, lifted an uzi from the ground and pointed it square at jp.

jp decided it was a good time to vanish and did just that, the sound of a multitude of bullets ringing in the air between the worlds.
