Well, the following Semiconductor business news story is a rewrite from ESST's press release. I couldn't find anything new. If ESST indeed can work with set-top manufacturers and several Internet content providers and addressing specific market needs, then their ES4228 chip set can be a real nice and unique chip set. And I figure the gross margin will also much better than the video and audio chip set. The problem is whether ESST is willing to commit resources and have the right people to address the issues. This announcement seems to tell the world they are now willing to commit real resources to DO it. Agree with you 100%. Investors don't need to see any more marketing press releases. "During the last few years, ESS has developed and accumulated core technologies in digital audio, digital video, and communications," said Fred S.L. Chan, CEO and founder of ESS Technologies who will head up the new business unit. Chan said his company has established leadership in PC audio and digital video, and it recently launched a new V.90 modem communications product. "These technologies, along with our relationships and sales channels in the PC market and the Asian consumer market, are the core assets of the company," Chan said. ESS Technology's existing PC Products and Consumer Products groups will continue pursuing their markets while the new Internet unit looks for joint-venture partners in Asia to offer "components, systems and applications to service the many aspects of the Internet," Chan said.
