Anyone currently using ETrade? Please help... My situation is this. I bought 523 shares prior to 6/1/98. In August I bought 1000 more. Per the PR I should be getting 152 Preferred shares because I held 1523 shares on 9/1/98. On 12/5 I sold the initial 523 shares leaving me with 1000 shares. ETrade has told me on numerous occasions that I had to have shares in my account on 12/22/98 to recieve both the Ps and the Ws. Since my first call to ETrade, the warrants have shown up in my account so I assume that the got the dates straightened out for that dividend. However, as of today, they are still telling me that I only get Ps for the shares that I had in my account on 12/22/98. So someone else out there has my 52 shares. The funny thing is that if I had 1000 shares in cert form on 9/1/98, then sent them to ETrade before 12/22/98, I would have a double dividend so I know it can't be correct and someone is going to get screwed. In Kieth's defense, I have spoken to him on a few occasions reguarding this and I know he has been chasing from his end but I want to put some pressure on ETrade from my end as well. The TA tells me the dates referred to in the PR and that it's the broker's error. Is anyone else in a similar situation at ETrade? Incidently, this is not the first time I've had trouble with E*Trade and I really want to switch brokers but can't until this mess is fixed. Thanks, Mike
