You may think my opinion is a waste of time others have posted me (many times privately to concur and further discuss it). That's what you do, Dale, and that's why you're not worth listening to. Well you seem to have taken offense to my response to denis. But that was not SUNW bashing. That was my honest opinion. I told him in a concise and candid manner what I didn't like about SUNW. RE:You try to make a scary thing out of an HP server announcement -- but the only trend is Sun kicking HP's ass in server market share. You say Windows 2000 is a major factor for 1999 -- but it most probably won't ship in 1999, will probably be a flaming disaster when it does, and will be 32 bits no matter what. Dale, you're just making standard random Sun-bashing, pro-Microsoft noise. You're just repeating the Wintel party line. Not very original. QuikSand, I was not trying to be scary. My referencing the HWP article was partly informative and partly, I must admit, I was just having some fun with Addi. Addi didn't appear to be scared because he simply replied I should up my short position. :-) QuikSand try not to read so much into my posts. Perhaps now I am starting to understand those of you that are getting angry. I said I feel these threads have absolutely no influence on a stock like SUNW (market cap is too big). I also generally don't consider it research. Although I am not knocking it either. It is a mixed bag. That is why I let you guys say anything at all about SUNW. I sometimes respond to a comment but never in anger. Unless maybe I am being unjustly attacked. Keep in mind I do more responding to messages sent to me than anything else. RE:That doesn't mean I believe everything they say, because most of what they say isn't true...that's part of their culture. Well that is just smart investing. It is good to be suspicious of all rosy outlooks. Whether it is MSFT, INTC or SUNW. RE:As for knee-jerk enthusiasm, well, this is the SUNW thread; here is where it gets to be overlooked.
