Re:I visited Costco over the weekend

That sounds about right for people who would by a computer at Costco. They get duped into buying a box with a catchless Celeron in it that can't even get shelf space in a computer store. You wouldn't expect them to be searching the discount isles for good deals on P450's or K6-2 400's would you?

I thought most people went to stores like Costco for toilet paper and the such.

Aaron - Re: E-Machines Intel based PCs $600.

That's a coincidence!

A friend of mine sent me an e-mail saying that the Costco in Santa Cruz has CRATES of these E-Machines with Celeron CPUs - and they are selling very fast !

E-Machines must have bought a ton of the cacheless Covington/Celerons for these cheapo, cheapo productions.
