LWolf,
Patience my friend. Remember just 3 trading days ago we were above 9000 and yesterday we fell below 8700. This market has got to breathe at some point. :~>
AMZN is crazy. It's freakin' rediculous. It's getting pumped because it's added to the NAS 100 and it's gonna split. Garzarelli was on CN"BS" tonight and the phrase DOW 11000 actually came out of her mouth. Sheesh!
Valuations don't matter anymore. The big boys have brought this market unto themselves and the only way to play it is to daytrade. Unfortunately, those of us who have a day job <VBG> and can't trade a lot during the day get pooped on. Hang in there.

Chris

Laura, Op expiry is always difficult. I understand from pros that 3x witch is different than normal expiry. I don't know. I just felt that yesterday was wayyyyy overdone. I think that this M is going higher-- new highs by next month. But I am cautious (well, sort of). If you have puts, I think in general they should have been sold yesterday. I think down moves are fairly quick these days.
