re: ampex 712 photo for something so formidable, hal, it looks downright demure. returning for the moment from camera obscura to the issue of virtual obscurity, petco, et al... i wonder is this issue of anonymity a feature not entirely unwanted, hard as it is to digest, by a tunnel visioned core group of encryption fetishists? that is not possible, is it? taking a cue from an earlier post re: enigma data services, inc., now among the software partners @ the website, i tracked down the closest entity i could find [ none bore this exact title] to this group...enigmainc.com i was unable to find any reference whatsoever to ampex anywhere in sight. not that this was a huge surprise, but this pervasive lack of "brand name" in the universe as we know it has become for me a glaring contradiction. after all, the almost ubiquitous presence of ampex in both the high end audio, and post production sectors, is a complete about face from our jd salingeresque persona amongst the high margin sectors. ok, this is no epiphany, but we remain cloaked star trek style, as we provide critical brain matter for spy v spy v spy . yet, musicians and post houses across the net use our inherent brand name appeal to endorse a number of their ventures. if everyone can avail themselves of the think ampex cache, why is it the myriad opportunities for capitalizing [literally] on our reputation for excellence eludes us to this day EVEN & ESPECIALLY in the current post LM win moment. i appreciate elegant discretion, but this is ludicrous.... i begin to wonder is IMAGIO properly charged to convert pr successes like LM, in a timely fashion? if so, where is the parlay?
