A bit more good news tonight from Judicial Watch via DRUDGE:Topic: White Water Linda Tripp Testifies on Filegate Judicial Watch 12.15.98 Judicial Watch freerepublic.com LINDA TRIPP TESTIFIES ON FILEGATE Sees Files of High-Level Bush Staffers In Clinton White House Counsel's Office, Also File Believed To Be of That of Former Congressman Bill Clinger – Told They Were FBI Files By Bill Kennedy's Secretary Files Described as FBI Files Uploaded Into White House Computer -- Data to be Shared with DNC Ties FBI Files to Travel Office Firings – Saw Files on Vince Foster's Desk and in Vince Foster's Safe Tripp Testifies as to Perceived Threats and to Craig Livingstone's Admission That He Was Hired By Hillary Rodham Clinton – Tripp Believes Hillary Clinton Behind Filegate Linda Tripp was deposed by Judicial Watch yesterday in its $90 million dollar class-action Filegate lawsuit against the Clinton White House, the FBI, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Bernard Nussbaum, Craig Livingstone, and Anthony Marceca. Tripp testified that what she understood to be FBI files were in Vince Foster's office, in Foster's safe in Bernard Nussbaum's office, piled on tables and on the floor ("hip-high") of William Kennedy's office, and in Craig Livingstone's office. Tripp was told that these files were FBI files by Betsy Pond, the secretary for William Kennedy, Associate White House Counsel at the time (and Mrs. Clinton's former Rose Law Firm Partner). Tripp identified some of these files as referring to what she understood to be high-level Bush administration employees, Billy Ray Dale (she saw the "Dale" file in Foster's office just prior to the Travel Office firings immediately after a meeting involving Hollywood producer Harry Thomason), former Congressman Bill Clinger, Chris Emery (the usher fired at the reported urging of Hillary Clinton), and close confidantes of President and Mrs. Bush. Tripp testified that she overheard a conversation between Bill Kennedy and Marsha Scott during which Scott said that data from the files identified was to be entered into a White House computer for sharing with the DNC. Scott later told Kennedy that Hillary Clinton wanted material from "files" entered into a database. "Ms. Tripp's testimony speaks for itself -- and puts to rest the lie that Filegate was an innocent mistake," stated Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman. The deposition will resume this Friday. The complete text of Tripp's deposition thus far is available at the Judicial Watch Internet site at judicialwatch.org .
