The URL for this article from _The Register_was just posted over on the Cisco thread. The article notes that CSCO's CEO says they are going to buy 5 to 15 companies this year that deal with transmitting voice and data over the net. Oh... how I wish Stiltz1 had started a rumor about CSCO buying-out NAVR instead of a pip-squeek like Amazon!

Rajiv, the stock was trading around 5 or below in May. It spiked in the middle of April and promptly retreated therafter. I'd be curious to find out the exact date the convertible was inked. Whether or not the holders were the majority of the shorts in April is hard to say. I figure short interest would have been up regardless due to the spike. Should also read the convertible to see if it has any provisions against shorting/hedging the stock. (Not that it may prevent it; these holders can find a way if they wish).

Christian had calculated the number of shares outstanding a week or two back. I printed out the message and will see if I can find it tomorrow (it's late). I believe it was somewhere in the ballpark that you are in- 2.5 or 3mln shares added to the float.
