Hmmm. Is this stock using energizers??

All this wealth created by selling books (ok and a cd or two, maybe even a few movies, possibly some trinkets...). I guess it is the simple things that really do work.
Somehow I can't help but feel that the market is getting ahead of itself way ahead of itself.
I don't doubt that Amazon will grow sales many hundreds of percent over the next few years (amazillionaires can see to that by just devoting a minescuel percentage of their profits to building a congress of libraries), but silly me don't they know that in a few years we wont need libraries anymore?
What? you mean that is why they are selling CDs, movies, and toys. Interesting... In fact Amazon is going to become the UECP (universal electronic commerce portal) the coveted position of selling access to all the places you can think of to shop 'til you lock{-up get it?}.
That's right Amazon is going to become the middle man to end all middle men in the medium that was crafted to eliminate the middle man. Deliciously ironic I think.
If nothing else it is quite evidently worth another couple of billion in market cap...And hey why not? so far the only fool is the one that hasn't bought.

What did you just whisper, 'Fundamentals'? Please explain, but watch your language there are children around!
Wait a sec, I think I saw a definition in the dictionary of foolish witicism: FUNDYMENTALS "-- archaic-- (spelled 'a' instead of 'y') a measure of a companies value based on tangible assets, cash flow and earnings" (why can't they ever write in plain english...)
oh this must be the one: "-- modern-- a wealth crippling (potentially fatal if one is short) mental condition known to inhibit normal investment in high growth, loss-rich ventures that command high P/F ratios."
And so it goes...
This is a fascinating story to watch unfold. Surreal in so many ways...
Good luck,
Daniel

Speaking of insider sales....

The CEO of Borders has sold over 1/3 of his holdings. Several others at Borders have sold recently or filed to sell. So it looks like some of the brick and mortar folks are nervous too. Maybe they're buying AMZN as a hedge!

I also read the WSJ story about funds dabbling in the internet stocks. They'll be quick to run for the exits if things sour.

The Q4 sales results could be strong, but if profits are slim, then the rout may be underway.

I just can't believe that the stock would run up $50 based solely on one persons opinion. This is really nuts. Great for the longs, but solid logic doesn't move a stock 25% in one day. Heck I've owned stocks of companies that were being acquired that didn't go up that much!

Good luck Tom!
