According to International Space Industry Report (see any current issue - this is a table they publish), the mobile satellite services market (which is Iridium, Globalstar, ICO, etc.), is expected to grow from less than $1 billion in annual revenues in 1997, to over $30 billion by year 2007. I'll take a market this small any day...

SoliRA,

I confess I have no knowledge of Turkey cellular services. I would assume the market for Iridium is for users that can tolerate little or no service interruption or connecting difficulties as well as those who need access in rural or very remote places. That should be quite a market but is it a mass market? Probably not yet and probably not at these prices. But then the same thing was said about cellular services generally in the beginning.

Best,
Stitch
