I don't know why you think their auction count should be "expected" to dwindle for the next few months.

The fact is, eBay's auction count IS declining right now, but that is not what we would should be expecting.

This didn't happen last year. eBay had EXPLOSIVE growth during this period last year.

The ten days before Christmas are when retailers do very well (unless they are going out of business).

I understand the delivery issue, and can understand a little fall-off in the week before Christmas, but if this decline continues into January, eBay stock will be in very deep doo-doo.

As it now stands, and if this week continues the past ten days' trend, the eBay auction count will be up only 30 percent over the 13 week (quarter) ago period. That would be the weakest quarter over quarter growth we have witnessed.
