Thanks Doug,
North Olmsted,Oh is north of me . I live in the Canton Oh. area.
I don't know enough about pc's to format .........I get scared thinking about it.I found some info at zdnet/pc computing about upgrading to 98. My pc has a serious drain . When I use resource meter , it starts at 85% and drops to the 40% area in a couple of hours. I think I may try installing 98 over 95 unless someone tells me different.Sounds like it helped your performance.....I need some of that. See Ya'

Doug,

What is a Shotgun modem? 92k sounds like an odd connection rate.

Is sygate software a NAT (network address translator) or proxy server? I use Nevod NAT1000 to share one internet connection between computers, and it's great. I haven't found any limitations like I did with a proxy server. All my internet programs work on both computers, with no fancy setup of firewalls or configuring of email servers.
