Morning all,
Ill start with Tomatoes querry. Proven is a tech. term and what is proven is what the engineers report stated (don't have my notes handy as Im south for the holidays, first time in 20 years).
So the proven is known but it doesn't take much imagination to quess that with drilling they will easily increase this by a factor of 5, 10, 20 times.
In fact the only real surprise they have had is he one hole drilled from an island that didn't hit the dyke where it should have been but they hit a dyke 100 meters deeper. Why, is still an imprtant and interesting question. So probable is in the range of millions of tons, what is possible is trikier because notenough holes have been drilled to determine if it is indeed a cone dyke and how much of it will be mineable.
Exploration by its very nature contains alot of unknows, things could suddenly get a whole lot better or worse depending on each successive drill hole.
As for the winter road, they still havent put ne in across Yellowknife Bay to Dettah and this is as late as its ever been.Time will tell.
The good news, in a way is that Lupin doesnt need resupplying as it normally would and Ekati shas been constructed so it will need less stuff. Also Monopros at Kennedy has a big programso they might swing a road across great Slave to Macleod bay and north. WSP coulduse it as well.
Its ging to be interesting to see when the winter road does open and a late openingwill add weight to the arguement that we need an overland ear road road to te area. they are studying that possibility now.
Hope that helps some.
Sam, thanks for the info, am currentlyin southern Ontario enjoyingthe sunshine but missing the snow. Miss seeing the ptarmigan scurrying aout as well, but they wouldn't survive the traffic down here Im afraid.
