For anyone interested, I posted a short report on the JAKK board about my visit to JAKK.

Specifically--the royalty payment to Titan for WWF deal is 18 million over 10 years. It was explained to me that is is 1.8 million per year and yes--THQ pays 2/3 and JAKK
pays 1/3. But there is a catch.

The WWF deal calls for all costs to be taken out and then profits split equally between THQ and JAKK. JAKK had the deal structured 2/3--1/3 to help them out with cash flow.
The payment is due at he beginning of each year. But THQ recoups their extra payment
when the costs are calculated at the end. JAKK had THQ pay 1/3 more up front to help
them with cash flow(THQ has more cash than JAKK)

Another way to say it is that 1.8 million is due at beginning of year. THQ pays 1.2 million and JAKK pays $600,000. At the end of the year when costs are calculated, THQ gets
credit for paying the extra $600,000 when costs are calculated at years end. So in effect
THQ pays 2/3 and JAKK 1/3 but it is squared up in the expense column before profits
are spit.

Marc,

Let the games begin!!! :o)

I propose a game where we predict the closing price of THQI on Dec. 31st (if that's a holiday, then the last day the market is open before then). The one farthest from the actual price has to buy burgers at that joint on Shattuck you mentioned. Let's limit the game to a reasonable number of people ... so the poor loser doesn't go broke :o)

I'm going for it right now with a price of $31 15/16

RUGRAT REGARDS, JB

P.S. I can taste that burger already!!!

Or you could share your opinion about Vince McMahon challenging Mankind to a streetfight the other night. Mankind was giving McMahon a pretty good licking until the Rock showed up out of nowhere and body slammed Mankind on McMahon's white Cadillac. It was very fortuitous that the Rock showed up when he did; I suspect that McMahon may have planned the whole thing, the weasel.

On a lighter note, I have reconsidered my strategy for trying to trade THQ if Willy gets impeached and buying it back at a cheaper price. Instead, I sold a bunch of mutual funds yesterday and if THQ tanks with the rest of the market I will load up some more.
