The uncertainty pricaple states that you can know the precise mass of a partical or you can know it's exact location, but not both. In the vernacular it has come to refer to the tendency of a phenomenon to be modified simply by the act of observing it. Technical analysis is based on comparing the current bahavior of a specific stock with some historical standard of stock price behavior. Unfortuanatly, the mere fact that many people are doing that comparison and buying or selling based on these assumptions becomes a factor which negates the initial assumption because the conditions have changed. Round and round it goes and where it stops nobody knows.
