It appears that Hendrickson doesn't see the stock price going high enough to make a $10 option worthwhile, thus repricing to under $2.
I believe that to be correct. News items that in previous times would have caused the price to explode barely make a dent dollar wise. The climb into the teen is going to be slow. A buy-out at the $15 range would be the best thing to happen to long term shareholders. If that is what motivted the option pricing, as you suggest, I would consider that to be exceptionally greedy on Hendrickson part.(700% profit ?)
