I just wanted to have a low-cost, highly leveraged position moving into Y2K.

If someone truly thought that Y2K would be that bad (I think there'll be some problems but it won't be too bad, but then again I live in Phoenix and it's not very cold here in January) then why on Earth would you buy something like futures or options that only exist on a computer somewhere? Or do you think it won't be bad and instead you're playing the fears of those who do?
