Hope we'll have lots of scratch and sniff opportunities. The magazine will make a great Christmas gift. This will have tremendous cache' and is bound to create a buzz at the water cooler. The on-line shopping numbers today are staggering. Can't imagine why it won't work here, too. Reminds me of the old Playboy Corp. opportunity. Everyone wanted to have some stock and the certificate to frame.

Since I have tried to no avail to find out if this is the same Robert L. White that is know as "Rusty" White CEO of MLRE I will post it for you all to decide for yourself. I have written to 60 minutes and have not received an answer to my request for a video tape of the segment. Note that the Robert L White mentioned here as Defendant was involved in high dollar auctions. White authenticated in writing a total of about 254 Documents for the Cusack/Cloud Plaintiffs and always expressed to plaintiffs up to and including about 2 weeks before the airing of the 60 Minutes Segment that in his opinion the Documents he had authenticated (by written opinions), and confirmed orally in some instances, were authentic. 73B. During the period starting sometime after 60 Minutes started to produce the 60 Minutes Segment on October 22, 1997, White retained an attorney and refused to speak with any of the Cusack/Cloud Plaintiffs other than through his newly-retained attorney. 73C. Upon information and belief, one or more of the CBS Defendants and defendant Hersh threatened to expose financially devastating, career-destroying secrets of White unless he lied during the 60 Minutes Segment about his dealings with the Cusack/Cloud Plaintiffs and his belief in the authenticity of the Documents. 73D. White acceded to the threat(s) and falsified what he stated on the 60 Minutes Segment, as set forth in bracketed paragraphs 55-63 in Exhibit A below, falsely stating among other things that: (i) he now believes the Documents he authenticated, as well as all the Documents, are forgeries; (ii) that (by reasonable inference) he does not own and has never used a magnifying glass to inspect the handwriting or signatures on any documents; (iii) that he would not know how to use a magnifying glass to inspect handwriting or signatures on a document; (iv) that he is not now and has never been a handwriting expert; (v) that (by inference) he is not now and has never been a JFK handwriting or JFK signature expert; (vi) that he has no experience in authenticating handwriting or JFK handwriting; and (vii) that he merely gave an informal opinion (as distinguished from a formal written opinion) as to the authenticity of the 254 Documents. 73E. Upon information and belief, the secrets which aforesaid defendants threatened to expose, to obtain White's cooperation in falsely defaming the Cusack/Cloud Plaintiffs and the Documents, are that: A. White acquired most of his Kennedy collection by low-ball appraising of JFK memorabilia for estates or other owners thereof, and then purchasing (directly or through an undisclosed agent) the low-ball appraised items at prices as low as 1% or less of actual market value (such as $1,000 for a $100,000 item), but having millions of dollars of liability to the defrauded victims and to the IRS as a consequence; B. White held himself out as a JFK signature and handwriting expert and appraiser to many of the persons he defrauded, including the estate and residuary legatees (the adopted son and daughter) of Evelyn Lincoln, JFK's personal secretary, who died in 1995 and paid back part of the defrauded amount in a December, 1995 secret settlement agreement with the son and daughter; and C. White is liquidating all his United States real estate and substantially all of his most valuable JFK memorabilia to be able to avoid his liabilities and escape with such liquidated assets from the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the United States courts, planned for March, 1998.
