I just noticed that Datek does not allow shorting of this stock. (They put an abbreviation next to the quote "NS" when its not shortable.) Perhaps that helps explain the strength in the past few days.

Exclusive Multi-point Audio license for gaming

While volume dwindles and the stock drifts lower, let's consider their long-term prospects. There are concerns about excess inventory which may have to be written off and fairly severe capital depletion. But let's evaluate what is presented as the break-through good news.

What's people's take on the announcement made in the SqwkBox interview with Frank Haussman, CEO at ThrustMaster, that "we have an exclusive arrangement with Intel for the license [of Intel's Multi-point Audio software] for the gaming space. Intel likes to call this a field of use, but essentially the sum and substance of it is an exclusivity provision in our license agreement providing we're exclusive in the gaming sector so long as we meet certain volume milestones."

Let's be optimistic for a moment and assume they will meet the volume milestones. How significant is this agreement?

If it's significant, why are they giving the software away for free during the Xmas season, when they traditionally make close to half their annual sales, only to launch it in January when the party is over? Are they bundling this software for free with their gaming hardware now?
