Slider, How about putting your research cap on and finding out about GIFI. Gulf Island, as you know, fabricated the Texaco/Marathon Petronius platform module which has been sitting under almost 2000 feet of water in GOM since Dec 3. The 1996 contract for constructing the two modules amounted to $50 million. Using that as a starting point, the one under water should be worth approximately 1/2 that amount. If not recoverable, it appears GIFI would be well positioned to construct a replacement module. Your thoughts please or a contact where I may look into this. TIA K
