Amazon.com shares leapt 17 percent
Wednesday morning, sparking a broad rally in other technology issues.

CIBC Oppenheimer analyst Henry Blodget raised his 12-month price
target for the stock (AMZN) to $400 a share. His previous target was
$150 a share. Amazon shares jumped 41 1/4 to 284. Earlier, it touched
288, an all-time high.

The Amex Internet Index gained 1.7 percent. The Goldman Sachs
Internet Index jumped 3.3 percent. The Amex Networking Index was up
0.1 percent. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index was up 0.9 percent,
while the CBOE Software Index edged 0.6 percent higher.
