~OT~ The will of the people is heard at the ballot box. Just a little over a month ago, the will of the people returned a Republican majority to both houses with full knowledge of the potential for impeachment proceedings. I'm not confused about that.

If what's happening now is so against what the American people want, then in November of 2000, the Republicans will get run out of town. End of story...

<<<they will listen to us. >>>

Since when was that the case? I pay for abortions - and I don't want to. I can't send my kids to a private school on a voucher system - I want to. I want lower taxes - they raise them. And the list goes on.

This is why you vote for the candidate that most represents you views.
This vote does not obligate he or she to vote the way you would, period! Never has and never will.

Screw the market! Impeach and Bomb Iraq...both are long overdue.

Nihil

Some of these people are impatient for the murder, mayhem and tawdry drama to begin. Must be the French revolution again.

nihil,>>>OT re: who is confused...I think you are badly confused on the subject of public opinion. <<<

That is the way the system is designed. There are checks and balances in place just in case elected officials are not reading public opinion properly. The system is not perfect - but most people will agree it is working.

There may be SOB's on both sides (left and right) - so what else is new? I don't think that will ever change. But who put us into this terrible position where we have to listen to all this crap?

Couldn't this have been avoided if the current POTUS didn't behave in such an atrocious manner. Can his behavior be defended in any way? Didn't his behaviour bring out all the creeps and give them an excuse to do whatever they are doing?

To resign now is the most patriotic thing this President can do. The country will survive. We do not really need a person of Mr. Clinton's moral caliber to be our leader. Mr. Gore will do nicely.

Sincerely,

Mary Cluney
