It's the oldest con in the brokerage "book".

You don't often see the opposite- ie buy puts and then lower estimates, since that tends to attract lawsuits from companies and investors. The shorts don't have much sympathy in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of the average investors, so the brokerages pick the path of least resistance. That's why roughly 98% of all brokerage recommendations are historically "BUY"

The only thing that could be better would be to sell the calls, buy puts, and get a downgrade tomorrow!!!

Skeeter,

The calls I wrote have no time premium so I could buy them and then write 300 or 310 calls. What if the stock drops is the problem?
