A hunter and his dog were out with a friend one early morn when the hunter shot down a passing duck. Upon command, the dog not only went out and fetched the fallen bird but brought it back with remarkable finesse. The onlooking friend was greatly impressed and remarked, "That is some dog. Does he also do any tricks?" "Sure, he does tricks," the hunter replied. Then he commanded the dog, "Bill, sit up." The dog struck up a sitting up pose. "Roll over." And the dog rolled over. "Beg." To which the dog responded by grabbing a hat in his mouth and pantomimed panhandling. The friend was even more impressed, to which he said, "That dog is so smart you'd think that he could talk." The fellow answered, "He can. Bill, tell him about the time that you made that witch doctor so mad at you."
