I am interested in your comments about "touts" in options week. Is it your guess that anything that will prop the price up until Friday will be attempted so that the fall can begin Monday? I have seen speculation that earnings will be surprsingly good and that some are buying calls hoping for release ahead of Friday. What is the prevailing sense on this board as to a) earnings and b) options prices after friday? Thanks

>(of course, we have two days left, we've all seen that one tout is not always enough)

Well well well what do we have here, the second product announcement in three days:

fast.quote.com

Imagine the odds that the difficult process of developing not just one new chip but two finishes up with less than one week to go before option expiration and the quarterly earnings announcement.

Oops, never mind, it happened exactly the same way last quarter! I guess that's how chips are made!
