We are not cheering war, you don't get it do you. It's is a classic battle of Good vs Evil. If evil is allowed to persist, then good shall be overcome. Look how far Hitler got. can you imagine what would have happened if he commanded the weapons that Iraq has at their disposal ? So please, let's stay focused here.

Harold,

I share your sentiments about the prospective loss of imminent lives. However, the only person responsible for this loss is that sad-ass imbred hussein. he has brought this upon himself and his people. I hope the first missile launched finds its way up his ass so that the matter can be resolved quickly.

Just kidding, but there hasn't been one for quite a long time and that even disrupts the natural order of food chain. Remember how the dinos died? (ggg)

Harold S.: Re Asia

Ok, so there is a probability of war in the Gulf. Many on this thread have alluded to just that possibility with oil prices this low. Once again the industrial world has been put on notice that their supply of oil can be very tenuous. I don't cheer it, but I do factor it into my investment decisions. War has been commonplace in the Middle East since the 40's.

Anyway, Asia is most definitely on the mend! I grant you, it is in its early stages but it is happening. The inflection point has passed. You may recall that the US '92 - '93 recession ended when the govt. faced reality and started to close broke banks.

Read these at your leisure and tell me if you agree that the LONG TERM prospects for oil demand are considerably brightening.
