Thanks for the update Jenna, I'm still holding CKSG... good move up 3 to $35 today on strong volume. Notice USWB went up 2 to $23 1/2 today. The two stocks are moving exactly @ the (1.5 to 1) ratio of the merger deal. Do you have any idea which one of the two Cos. is the major influence, causing the other one to move up in tandem?

Also, I read on Yahoo thread today that CKSG will not report this week but instead report at the same time as USWB in Jan '99. Any Idea?? Thanks

TXCC, SEG...YUM.. and CREE...Earnings Plays "GEMS" for SI members for first 2 weeks in January.
TXCC.. reports January 14, 1999
SEG reports January 16, 1999 (will check withphone call)
YUM.. reports on January 15, 1999 (ditto)
CREE..reports on January 14..

Subscribers should expect about 25-30 stocks for the first week and another 25 stocks for the second week.. we are looking for the top 3% in fundamentals here. We are also interested in technicals inasmuch as we don't want the stocks to run up too much. That is why they will be listed well in advance of the report date. Remember about 8,000 companies will be reporting so sifting out even 30 is no small chore.

These four have 'passed' 90% of the criteria so far.. I will update if they pass the last 10% which is more technical than fundamental

Of course all of you are invited and encouraged to post your own stocks, whether they be for earnings plays or just 'hot' prospects.
