Toni, as you might imagine, in 36 years in the market, I HAVE seen
this before. Just a case of a lightly traded stock moving according
to supply and demand. The MMs lower their Bid/Asked and ANY selling
leads to flooding downward through stop-loss orders previously entered.
At a low enough price, the MMs start to make a market again (by buying
stock) and boost the price. At the end of the day the net result is
down 1/8 on so-so news. 300,000 shares traded today is NOT MUCH money.
