Hi Tim,

The partisan nature of the outcome makes you wonder if 'the 536 members of congress reflect who we are.'

First(a minor point): We don't have the outcome yet.

Second: Don't be led astray by talking heads and opinion polls. You can get just about any result you want from a poll based upon the way you ask the question. Further, the numbers are contradictory and in flux.

Third: America is somewhat polarized on a number of issues, the congress (house especially) reflects that.

I would not assume that because something goes along party lines that that automatically makes it right or wrong. I'll bet there are a number of Dem's that would like to shoot the guy but will not vote for impeachment because the repub's will do it for them. Further, there are a number of Repubs who would not like to vote for impeachment but will because they do not want the jerk to have anything reversable on his record and feel he could not be trusted to live up to any "deal".
In fact, were Clinton judged to be an honorable man by the house members...this matter would already have been dealt with. Problem is, he has proved too many times to people on both sides of the isle that he is not a trustworthy person who just made a mistake.

Nah, lay this problem from start to finish where it belongs...at the feet of WJC.

Regards,

Steve

PS.. Notice you are a 'Horn...Did you watch Ricky get the Heisman?
