Iraq attacked in 'Operation Desert Fox' Saying Iraq abused its final chance, President Clinton said in an address to the nation that he and British Prime Minister Tony Blair ordered an attack on Iraq. In comments earlier in London, Blair said Western forces in the Persian Gulf region launched military strikes against Iraq at 1 a.m. Thursday. The attack comes almost two days after the United Nations' chief weapons inspector issued a report saying that Baghdad continued to refuse to cooperate with the inspectors. MORE DETAILS
