How much oil is IRAQ pumping right now? I heard 3% of world output. That is pretty substantial. Would that not dry up some of the supply? How long will the oil be shut off? (For months?).

Kind of ironic that the big oil meeting is on tommorow....

I notice that S&P futures dropped pretty hard since the bombs started dropping, almost 6 points. I thought a war was pretty much priced in and is either immaterial or slightly positive for the market. It has greatly lessened the chance of an impeachment, at least for this week, and that was one of the market's worries this week, wasn't it?

I think a lot of people think this will be a one night affair.
The attack will probably end on Saturday. However, I do not
believe that Clinton will be directly attacking either oilfields
or any areas where there might be civilians. The strike will
likely last several days, but I don't expect the oilfields
to be targeted or hit.
Who knows what the market has factored in? We'll all be watching
intently.
