Penson Financial Services -- who are these guys? From penson.com -- "Penson is capitalized through an affiliation with a Texas life insurance group that has assets of over $200 million and equity capital of over $75 million." The above is the sum total of financial information about Penson that I've been able to find thus far. "Capitalized through an affiliation" -- what does that mean? What is the name of the insurance group? Is an audited balance sheet for Penson Financial Services available? Is my assumption, based on lack of mention of anything more, correct that protection is limited to SIPC coverage?

Phil, I don't see on your site (cyber-brokerage) any mention of rates for large trades, eg. greater than 1000, 2000, 5000, etc. shares. Am I to assume that the flat rates posted for tickets cover any size? Thanks, wily
