I've had green papaya in several recipes and I like it...but I'm not Thai and Thai food can be pretty dang hot! I've got a long time client that is Thai and has a restaurant which I frequent infrequently.-g- Every time I eat there my stomach goes toxic.

OT - one of the hottest things I ate in a month in Thailand was som tom off a cart in Koh Samui. They threw in a bunch of those little "bird" chilies and mashed them up in the big mortar and pestle with the rest of the ingredients. Tasty, but yow! (and I LIKE spicy food!) I think PK is from Hawaii, where the food is good but not so firey.
