Heh heh, I don't get it. Just what do we disagree on? I think maybe you should go back and read my original post. I believe we are in the same camp. Problems are indeed simpler than the solutions.

I don't agree, however, if you are suggesting that the only people who benefit from social programs, if those programs are successful, are the poor at the expense of the rich. OK, given "50%" of the taxes come from the 'rich'. I don't see it as an absolute no gainer for those that are most well off. But I also don't mind if we find ways to lower that ridiculous 50%!

I sense you share a strong sense of community.
