Thanks. I knew that, and I apologize for perhaps looking at your post all too literally(or reading too far between the lines!). At least now, noone else will be able to question it.

Bombs are not nice. The standard Libertarian Party line is that we should defend our own borders, period. It's hard not to embrace that, and I do embrace that- it's an ideal. ...yet too, one wonders if the world would have survived Hitler without our help. Some Libertarians suggest that we would have, and never should have entered WWII. Talk about an unpopular position! Luckily like all political parties, there is room for much disagreement. If I believe and I do, that Saddam Hussein will attack his neighbors as he's done before, that he would seek to become the ruler of the whole mid-east and then- who knows- England? And should we stand by as that war raged? So, I just have to agree that this country needs to defend "freedom" this way. Better to nip madmen in the bud.

<<Saddam setting Clinton up.My opinion is leave Iraq alone until they attack a
neighbor and then anniliate them. >>---ANYER

Though this ignores the damage we might prevent by this "pre-emptive" strike, perhaps it's the best way to go. I really believe we shouldnt initiate force.

Alright! So I can't make up my mind. Maybe I should just become a pacifist again and refuse to condone fighting under any circumstances! Naw...hell....I'll support this action- may as well stand by my country right or wrong- it's the only one I've got! Am I still a hippie?
