OK Zoltan, can you explain to me why no progress was made on eliminating assault weapons while the republicans were in the white house? Is it that the NRA lobbied against it, or that the republicans didnt give a damn or what? Even the conservatives I know cant see any reason for assault weapons to be available for as long as they have been and in some cases the criminals (even 2-bit locals) are outgunning the police. Tell me why this issue was not addressed by the republicans. The minute Clinton got in there, domestic issues started to move. Im not sure I want to go back to total domestic gridlock.
