I've been a Radica stockholder and believer for over 18 months but I'll sell you my shares. It's a great company but unfortunately not a great stock

Swedelo,
Is it maybe a good time to lock in some of those short term profits, taxes be damned, what with all the talk lately about a short term top even before the Billy bombing started?
Maybe sell some covered calls on those short term holdings. (I'm not to sure about the "constructive sales treatment" clause in the tax code though. Is there a tax expert on this thread that would like to address the tax treatment of such a maneuver in the case where the option holding period carries one past the one year long term holding period?) Even if you had to pay short term taxes it would at least let you keep some of your profits if those holdings decline.
If you're close to a year on some of those short term holdings you might consider using a wee bit of margin? Then cover the margin by selling something after you've held it the year. My opinion is it's not a very good time to be very deep into margin, but a wee bit might be too dangerous. How much can the market correct this time, anyway; at least without a bounce?
