Don't know what nVidia is worth, but if you take TDFXs market cap, subtract cash and a few assets, you can get an idea of basic goodwill...since nVidia isn't asset rich, I would expect it to be relatively cheap. Certainly an easy buy for CREAF.

Can DIMD put up a roadblock? Sure. Then the CREAF Mack truck could run it down...I suspect nVidia has been poor enough long enough that they would prefer being with a stable company vs. DIMD. DIMD only offers the Monster name which would help in the gaming (not nVidia's strong area) market.

IMHO CREAF MUST buy nVidia...the real question is which company would let them run with the most freedom?

Just in case you are curious, I sold what CREAF I had left. I want back in before earnings, but suspect I can get back in for a better price. If not, I will use the cash for TDFX/STBI...

FWIW I think CREAF selling TDFX was just foolish...what did they have to gain? TDFX will own a chunk of nVidia via STBI, and perhaps an equity swap would have been in order somewhere down the road. Not to mention it would be a pretty good investment IMHO. Not like they need the cash.

Expect $13 is a very real possibility...and their Jan CC will explain that the GTW Banshee deal was big and great...then they will talk about losing TDFX chipsets after Banshee...
