This type of cirumstance leads to spike and wave pricing patterns (not unlike seizure activity on an EEG <ggg>). I expect we'll see some hot times in oil futures tomorrow. Fortunes may be made in a day but I do not expect price stability any time soon. The big question is how long will the military action last and how much disruption will there be to the normal flow of tankers in and out of the Gulf?

To be bold, I'll predict $16.00 January oil on NYMEX within 48 hours. Any other guesses?
