"Murderer regrets not killing more people

TORRANCE, Calif. - A convicted murderer told jurors considering whether
to recommend the death penalty that he had only one regret: that he didn't get
to kill them, too. "I hate this government and the society that supports it. That
means you," David Wayne Arisman said, looking at jurors during the penalty
phase of his trial Tuesday. "You are my enemies, and I am justified in killing
you." He also regretted "that I didn't get to kill more of you sorry bastards."
Arisman was convicted of murdering one of two deliverymen who
interrupted his sexual assault on a 26-year-old woman. The defense had
argued Arisman was mentally ill because of a head injury. The jury was to
begin deliberations on his sentence Wednesday."
