Is Creative really retracing to US$12 ?
The charts suggest that there is some broad band where creative should be trading at from US$14-US$15 after retracing to cover the gap up created at end-Nov.
The broader market is clearly weak due to the clinton issue and negative earnings warnings but that's never really been a strong driver to creative's share price.
Apart from the loss of support from Creative's buyback program come next week, is there any other reason for further weakness ?
Does anyone sense that the short artistes are going to pounce on the chance to sell this stock down heavily and push it to US$12 ?
If so, then yes. We should just clear our long positions and get out of the way. The "short momentum" is the biggest risk factor at the moment.

Business-wise, its going to be pretty negative if Creative cannot secure consistent supply of chipsets from 3dfx after their merger. They seem short at the moment.
