REFAC Licenses 3Com Corporation Under the Storer Patent BW - 11:22 a.m. Dec 17, 1998 Eastern NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 1998--REFAC Technology Development Corporation (AMEX: REF) announced today the signing of a non-exclusive license agreement with 3Com Corporation for the rights to U.S. Patent No. 4,876,541 (the "Storer Patent"). REFAC holds the exclusive licensing rights to the Storer Patent, which it maintains covers the basic data compression procedures recommended by the International Telecommunication Union Standards Section (V.42bis).
