Hello chartseer,

>>Then what the heck do I know?<<

A great deal more than I do!

Interesting observations chartseer. Keep'um coming. I always enjoy your thoughts.

Speaking of currency -- here's how I helped a fellow slow minded Norwegian get a handle on the question "If US dollars go down against, say the Yen, how do I figure .........?" I modified the handy teeter totter we all used when learning "If interest rates go up -- then basis goes down" stuff. Looks like this:

US Dollar ='s $
Japanese Dollar ='s Y

$ Y
100 100

75 75

50 Y50______________50$ 50
^
25 25

0 0

Money dealers on at the ends of the teeter totter. Here all is square. Now assume that the US dollar drops to the point that the 50$ is right across from 25Y. Now the US money dealer can trade in his 50 for 25 Yen (or get less Japanese goods). And of course the Japanese money dealer can trade in his 50 for 75 US dollars (or get more American goods).

Take care,

Eric
