NEWS
NEWMARKET, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 1998--The Board of
Directors of Cashco Management, Inc. ("the Company") is pleased to
announce that A.R. Brooks, Cashco's wholly owned subsidiary, has
received its first test order for Paws Only from England for shipment
in early January 1999. The order will be shipped from a mill located
in New Brunswick, Canada, which is under contract to supply litter to
the Company. This order is the first of what the Company expects will
be a significant entry into the market which purchases a total of 12
million pounds per annum of kitty litter made solely by veterinarian
clinics and animal shelters in the City of London, England. The RSPCA
(Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) will be
launching its own brand of pet related products in 1999 and has
invited A.R. Brooks to submit a proposal for supply of a private label
kitty litter. The Company continues to approach retailers throughout
England, Canada and the United States.
The Board of Directors also reports that Mr. Alan Laffkas has
left the Company for personal reasons but has indicated that he will
be available for consulting to the company. The Board has elected
Rhonda Windsor, Past President and Director, to act as Interim
President and Director effective December 11, 1998.
Over the past year the Company has been focused primarily on the
development of it's Year 2000 software program. Management, in concert
with specialists, is actively developing a new Corporate Website to
showcase the Company's Discover Year 2000 software. The new Web site
will be a portal for information on all matters related to the
Millennium Bug and will include links to sites and products addressing
this issue. The Company recognizes that there is an overwhelming
amount of information available on this topic on the Internet. In
order to facilitate ease of access to the over abundance of
information and products which relate to this problem, the Company has
created a site which offers "one stop shopping". Visitors to the site
will be able to purchase both the Company's Discover Year 2000
software as well as competitors products. The details of the Web site
domain address will be announced shortly.
