OK. This is what I remember. I remember living in New Orleans in the 1950's, and we could get two stations, I think it was NBC and CBS. And when I went to see my grandmothers in Biloxi, they could get ABC from Mobile, Alabama. And sometimes, some UHF station from maybe Jackson, but why bother because there was never anything good.

And then we lived in Baton Rouge, and we got NBC, CBS, and ABC. And we never watched UHF. That I remember.

But see, that's the down side to growing up in the South. And if you want to, we could talk about RCs and Moonpies, or Nehis and StagePlanks, but where would that get you? I ask, but I suspect that it would be fruitless.

".....cognitive lacunae." That's very interesting. Sponge bread. I was looking for that word, lacunae, lacunar; just about a week ago, in my head there, for to illustrate, to embellish the visual character of some brilliant synthesis herein for DAR. I could see 'em up there, those lacunae divits, that lacunar ceiling, as say the Pantheon; or my local cranium; but for the longest frustrating really frustrating ready-to-type-further minute I couldn't remember the name of the goddam things. Shit. That kind of thing really, really pisses me off; because I know what they are. I studied em for pete's sake. And it's not like I can shape them with my hands and Norton or MJ are going to know. (No rudeness intended.)

So now I know they're really cognitive lacunae.

For a fact.

It's pleasing, but I don't feel better.

And yah, that NyQuil woman's screech scared me every time.
