Oh, my God. The thought of Being Sick Together, too much togetherness for me. The one good thing about rheumatoid is that I almost never get sick. My overactive immune system sort of scrapes the bacteria off the plate, as it were. Boils them. Fricassees them. When the Long-Suffering Husband gets sick, I can't help looking at him sort of like a more advance species contemplating a lower life form. On the other hand, if he hurts a joint, say a knee or his back, I feel immediate sympathy. Kinship.
