Nothing is free. Everything is paid for with taxes. My child is not going to school "for free". It's true that many who don't use public schools pay taxes for them. I suppose they are subsidizing the ones who do use the schools and there is some inequity in that. If everyone who doesn't use the schools didn't have to pay that part of the tax burden the public school system would collapse. I suppose public schools would have to charge tuition to make up for it. That is a much more fair situation. Those that don't use public schools get relieved of that portion of the tax burden and those who use public schools pay an additional tuition. I'm for that. Let's do it!
