FWIW, Nothing in this press release is "news" to us folks here at SI. The news certainly sounds good to the uninformed herd. No doubt the "short interest" and those looking for that immediate 4 bagger will use this press release against Vivus to suggest that Vivus will not be able to find a domestic partner. I don't expect any partnership announcement until Q1 1999 hopefully by Q1 conference call. In the mean time the monitoring of weekly IMS data will prove or disprove the theory that domestically both patients and doctors are looking for a safer alternative. Still looking forward to more bad news regarding Viagra including an ever increasing death count and the eventual class action lawsuit to develop. The ACC journal article regarding their findings on the safety issues surounding Viagra use in the CVD patient is expected to be available on January 1st. VLAD PS Leland, we are paying you over 350k/ year to produce some positive results regarding the partnership deal. If you don't produce some positive results by January, I suggest you start mailing out your resumes.
