Gregg, my apologies for all the tassle loafers in the world. However, we lawyers are trained, it is our job to "travel in risk" by spotting potential risks and how a "devil's advocate" on the other side could argue the meaning of actions or words. In other words, it is our job to spot the negatives and advise the client of same. It always remains the client's decision whether to accept that risk. It is invariably less expensive (client pays less) for that advice in advance than the legal fees that will be incurred if the client ingores the advice, gets into legal trouble, and has to TRY to get out of it. It's simpler and much cheaper to avoid the risk than to escape it later.

Greg,

if we really wanted to screw Saddam we should drop said legal professionals on him rather than missles.

OT:

Actually, I have read a preview of a strategy computer game where a player has that option. Production of enemy cities the attacked is stopped "until the settlement is reached".

Joe

Gregg, re: debating phraseology with someone who doesn't know the difference between spread spectrum and spreadable fruit preserves. Oh well..
As someone who has on more than one occasion confused the former with the latter, I would like to politely request that you keep right on truckin' and to heck with the muzzlers. It should be blatantly obvious that you ain't hustling snake oil but rather attempting to provide fact based commentary on an incredibly complex chess game being played out on world scale by some very wiley coyotes.
Thanks for all your contributions. Mike Doyle
